An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
Booking or arrest does not establish guilt. Prosecutors may decline or alter charges, courts may dismiss or acquit, and a record can later be corrected or expunged. An old copy may therefore omit the current legal status. Verify the disposition through the Utah court that handled the case, the Sheriff records unit, or Utah BCI.
A located record is a lead, not a verdict. Only its originating office can confirm the current entry and whether it remains releasable.
